About Us
Upper Coomera State College believes in tailoring learning pathways to meet the needs of every child. Student's progress is a reflection of their development needs rather than their age.
We believe that each child is unique.
From entry in Prep, until exit into a range of post secondary options, students will be encouraged to explore their individual strengths with a view to maximising the opportunity that awaits them.
Junior school teachers will develop a strong foundation in English and Mathematics and develop student knowledge and skills in the important national key learning areas through real life units of work.
The Middle school programs will diversify toward a balance of broad spectrum units of work and student centered areas of interest. Teaching will reflect recent research findings aimed at improving the effectiveness of education for our young adolescents.
Senior School students will develop career plans and choose from a range of pathways including apprenticeships, traineeships and university subjects as well as traditional senior school subjects.
The college will envelop students in real, relevant and meaningful learning, and actively pursure the use of current information and communication technolgy to prepare for the future as it evolves.
